Prof. Maimako vows to modernize University printing press.
Prof. Sebastian Maimako, the Vice Chancellor of the famous university of Jos,  has today 09, July, 2020 vows to equipped the University's printing press with modern equipment/machines in order to meet up with modern printing standard.

The Vice Chancellor who made the pledged when he visited the office Manager of the press, Mr Sebastian Abel Sanke, located at the old campus of the institution.

Prof. Maimako commended the efforts of the management of the University’s printing press for upgrading its offices, adding that the current managers of the unit have transformed the printing press from what it use to be.

In his own reacting to the development in an interview with Journalists, shortly after the visit of the Vice Chancellor in his office, the Manager of the University’s Printing Press, Mr. Sanke, informed newsmen that a loan of N250m has been approved by the university governing council to enable the printing press acquire modern equipments to boost it job.

Furthermore, Mr Sanke reveals that the printing Press annual income have inproved tremendously from 2017 to 2019, from N44m to the sum of N93m.

The Manager also recalled that the the university of Jos Printing Press was established in 1983.

He lamented that most of their machines are already absolute; hence the need for modern equipments to be purchased.

The University of Jos Press Manager revealed further that his office is working toward collaborating with National Examination Council (NECO) for printing of their examine sheets soonest.

According to him, the university of Jos printing press is currently printing some journals for Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFund).
