Jos North LGC Chairman donates car to ECWA women fellowship
The Management Committee Chairman of Jos North Local Government Council of Plateau State, Hon Shehu Bala Usman has presented a Sharon vehicle to the women fellowship of Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA) Jos District.
The event which took place at the Local Government Council Secretariat in Jos North.
The Chairman, in a press statement signed by Philip Eplong, Senior Information Officer, stated that this is in fulfilment of the earlier promise he made to them
It could be recalled that on the six of February this year the Management Committee Chairman, Hon. Usman was among the guests that attended the sixteenth annual conference of Ecwa Jos District church council women fellowship where he pledge to donate a vehicle for the women.
Presenting the keys and documents of the vehicle to the ECWA women, Usman said it is to enhance women fellowship of Jos DCC in propagating the gospel of Christ.
Usman stressed that the vehicle is part of his little contribution to encourage them having passed through ECWA school in Miango, Bassa Local Government Area.
He solicited prayers from the church to enable him succeed in his assignment.
The Jos North Chairman called on the church to support the administration of Governor Simon Lalong in uniting the people of Plateau state through the promotion of peaceful co-existence irrespective of differences.
He noted his resolve to work closely with the religious leaders.
Vice Chairman ECWA Jos District church council, Reverend Sterry kos Awak described Shehu Usman as God sent to people of Jos North considering the good legacy being unveiled in the area.
While Commending the unifying role of the Chairman by carrying everyone along in his administration, Reverend Awak called on the people of the area to support the administration of Shehu Usman irrespective of religious or ethnic difference so as to deliver more to the people.
Earlier Secretary ECWA Jos District church council women fellowship Hannatu Mershak assured the Chairman of good use of the vehicle.
Mershak pledged the women of ECWA Jos District church council will ever remain grateful forthegesture.
Also the Management Committee Chairman Hon Shehu Bala Usman reiterated his commitment for inclusive governance irrespective of tribe or religious affiliation.
Usman gave the assurance when he received the Berom Educational and cultural organisation Jos North Branch led by Dr Davou Nyam in his office.
While describing the visit as home coming Usman Said his administration is working in line with the policy thrust of govrenor Simon Lalong by respecting the culture and tradition of people of the locality.
