Behold the newly appointed Chairman/CEO Investment Security Tribunal Barr. Azi.
Barr. Amos Isaac Azi is a graduate of law from University of Maiduguri and holds a Master of Laws (commercial law) degree from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria Nigeria. He was called to the Nigerian Bar and licensed to practice as a Solicitor and advocate of Supreme Court of Nigeria in 1986. 
Prior to joining the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in 2004, he was engaged in full time and active Private Legal Practice.
In 1999, he was appointed a member of the Plateau State Executive Council where he served as a Commissioner in charge of the Ministries of Environment & Solid Minerals and later Information. 
At the SEC, he was at various times the Head/Secretary of the Commission’s (highest market disciplinary organ) Administrative proceedings Committee, Head, Legal and Documentation Division of Registration Department, Head, Legal and Enforcement of the Kano Zonal office, Head of Enforcement Department at the headquarters.
Mr. Azi represents the Securities and Exchange Commission at the International Organization for Securities Commissions (IOSCO); standing technical Committees on Enforcement and Information sharing as well as Multilateral Memorandum of Understanding Screening group (aka SG4), and had represented the Commission at the Financial Service Regulatory Coordinating Committee’s (FRSCC) Legal and Enforcement standing Committee.
He is a Member, Board of Trustees of the Financial Market Dealers Quotations Over The Counter Securities Exchange (FMDQ OTC) Investor Protection Fund and the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).  
 He is a member of the Nigerian Bar association (NBA), an associate member of the Institute of Capital Market Registrars (ICMR), Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria (CIPN), Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC) as well as a full member of the Institute of Fraud Examiners (IFE).  
Mr. Azi has attended both local and international Capital Market Seminars and training programmes. He had participated in IOSCO seminar on Practical approach to market oversight Spain, 2006; Examination, Investigations and Litigation of Securities Sales, Practice and Violation Abuja, Nigeria - IOSCO Regional Seminars 2006; Fraud Prevention RIPA, London 2007; Anti-Money Laundering Examination seminar, Federal Reserve Bank, Chicago USA 2008; International Anti-Money Laundering /Counter Financing of Terrorism at the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) Virginia USA 2009; Inspection and Oversight of Market Intermediaries, Securities and Securities Market Development, United States of America Securities and Exchange Commission, Washington DC, USA 2010; Cross-Border Supervision and Enforcement ADB/US Thailand, Bangkok 2012; Capital Market Development and Regulations (London corporate trainers, London 2013)  Corporate Governance Score Card Implantation (IFC, Washington DC, USA 2014 )  amongst others.
He is a resource person to the Nigerian Capital Market Institute (NCMI), Abuja; Legal and Enforcement faculty; and the West African Institute for Financial and Economic Management (WAIFEM), Lagos on Capital market regulations and operations.
He is currently a Board member of the Corporate Affairs Commission, representing the Securities and Exchange Commission from 2018 to date. 
He is happily married with four children and loves sport, politics and trends in the capital market.
