Covid-19: First corona virus case recorded in Langtang North

The Langtang North Local Government Council of Plateau State has recorded its first covid-19 confirmed case. 

Hon. Dogo Nimzing the media aid to Hon. Ubandoma Joshua Laven, the Executive Chairman Langtang North Government Council, said two persons have been tested & confirmed positive for  COVID-19, the infected persons have been taken to the isolation center in Jos for treatment & contact tracing has since commenced.  

He urge the people to remain calm and heed to the safety rules already set by the World Health Organization.  

To reduce the risk of contacting the disease, the public should; 

1. Always Use facemasks when leaving the house.

2 . Adapt the culture of  regular hand washing with soap & water.

3.  Regularly apply hand sanitizers.

4. Equally important is maintaining social distancing
