Breaking: one of the six escaped correctional inmates recapture 

One of the six escaped correctional inmates that was released in a gun battle yesterday by some unknown gunmen, in the premises of the Plateau State High sitting in Barkin Ladi Local Government Council of the State has been recapture. 

In a statement made available by ASC Banda Martha, the Plateau State Command Public Relation Officer, said at about 10am, Thursday 23 august 2020 

5 correctional officers of the Nigerian correctional service plateau state command, excorted 10 inmates of jos custodial centre to the barkin Ladi high court standing trial as adjourn by the court in their warrants . 

On arrival to  the court premises  unknown gun men ambushed the correctional service  armed men and aided the escape of 6 inmates while the correctional service armed men were able to curb and avoid the escape of the remaining 4 inmates. 

ASC Banda also reveals that the service alongside other security agencies in the state are working harmoniously to aprehend the escapees and their master minds. 

The public should disregard any information stating that an armed  personnel was injured during the shoot out, cos there was no casuality or injured person's incurred during the incident. Specifically any information contrary to this  should be ignored please.

In a similar development, a joint effort of security operatives recaptured  one of the escapees today 24th August 2020.  still continuous efforts is being made to recapture the remaining 5 inmates.
