Jang got it wrong over Lalong's position on G5 Governors Tinubu support stand- APC.

The APC PCC Media and Publicity Committee in Plateau State finds it necessary to respond to the totally unacceptable and misplaced attack on the Director General of the APC PCC and Executive Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Hon. Simon Bako Lalong who recently confirmed at the Wase APC gubernatorial campagn flag off that the PDP G5 Governors would support the APC Presidential Candidate, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

Hon. Sylvanus Namang, Chairman, Media & Publicity APC PCC
Plateau State in a press release made available to this medium stated that
former Governor Jonah David Jang's attack dog ferociously berated Governor Lalong for stating the obvious but unwittingly ended up admitting that the G5 Governors of Rivers, Benue, Oyo Enugu and Abia states had problems with the emergence of the PDP Presidential candidate, Alh. Atiku Abubakar.
Clinron Guruba, the Delta-born business associate of Jonah Jang who serves as his media consultant, described Governor Lalong's statement as day dreaming while in actual sense, it is the other way round if not a hallucination.
Former Governor Jang's membership of the Integrity Group which the G5 Governors have chosen to adopt, is by association and convenience.
He has been boxed into a tight corner as typical of him, he easily plays the religious and ethnic cards when he wants to confuse the undiscerining Plateau minds.
He had before the debut of Peter Obi, distanced himself from the Atiku presidential ticket which was not based on principles but a mere hatred for a Muslim candidate based on his deceptive religious fault line. He quickly jumped for the OBIdients group.
On realising that such hard line position is going to have adverse effects on his ordained gubernatorial candidate, he decided to make a detour which is too late in the day.
For him to know come out in defence of an Atiku PDP ticket is an unhelpful venture as his supporters have taken hook, line and sinker what he had preached to them.
To say that the G5 Governors have not taken a position on their support for the APC Presidential Candidate is a confirmation of his fear for a Bala Ahmed Tinubu unstoppable victory at the polls.
He has suddenly remembered how Jonathan lost out in 2015 which he was at the centre of it.
When he forced himself as Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum with his 16 is greater than 19 saga, seven Governors led by the then Rivers State Governor, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi defected to the newly registered APC thus punishing Goodluck Jonathan who tolerated Jang's malfeasance.
As stated earlier, Senator Jonah Jang is an outsider of the Integrity Group who is hardly conversant with their internal modus operandi.
The Director General of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Governor Simon Lalong could not be speaking nonsense as claimed by Jang's Media Consultant. In fact he got it totally wrong.
Where they met and decided to wisely pitched their tent with BAT would not be known to Jang but Lalong is not only privy to it but must be part and parcel of the discussion.
One does not need the service of a political pundit to tell us that the G5 or Integrity Group have since call it quit with the Atiku ticket.
Do we need a better confirmation of Governor Lalong's assertion than the one coming from the horse's mouth and pillar of the G5 himself, the steely Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike when he recently responded to a journalist's inquiry thus;
" Yes it is true that I have directed all Local Government Chairmen, Commissioners, Board Chairmen, Senior Special Advisers, Special Advisers, Senior Special Assistants, DGs, Board Members and all my Aides to work for Bola Ahmed Tinubu and I owe no one any apology"?
The G5 Governors are patiots who have decided to go with a very patriotic Nigerian in the person of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu rather than presidential candidates with divisive tendencies.
Jang should stop boiling his adrenaline over his morbid condemnation of anything coming from his immediate successor, Governor Simon Bako Lalong.
