I shall explore every legislative inputs towards oil exploration in Kanam-Gagdi

The member representing Pankshin, Kanke and Kanam Federal Constituency in the green chamber of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Yusuf Adamu Gagdi has reiterated his total commitment towards exploring every legislative inputs to ensure that the project is not abandoned, but pursued to the latter, and the desired outcome yielded for the overall good of Nigeria and Nigerians.

Gagdi made the statement in a press release personally signed himself and express his happiness towards the cheering disclosure by the Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation, NNPC, of the discovery of large deposits of oil in the upper Benue trough of Kanam and Wase Local Government Areas of Plateau State is received with high expectations by the named communities for its Economic benefits, not only to the immediate communities, but to Plateau State and Nigeria at large.

Hon Gagdi disclosed that "as the Representative of Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency in whose constituency one of the named areas fall, I am highly elated that this development is coming at a time like this, when Representation of our people is centered on improved economic well-being of the citizens.

I am particularly happy for the people of Kanam LGA, in whose domain such development is discovered, because of its economic advantage to the immediate community in terms of job creation and physical development that is bound to be witnessed by reason of the oil exploration in their locality.

He further disclosed that on behalf of the people of Kanam LGA, and by extension, PKK, I appreciate the NNPC for embarking on such a gainful venture, and the Plateau State government for providing the enabling environment for the survey to yield the desired result.

On my part as the Representative of the people, I shall explore every legislative inputs to ensure that the project is not abandoned, but pursued to the latter, and the desired outcome yielded for the overall good of Nigeria and Nigerians.

I enjoin the Plateau State government to use all avenues at its disposal to ensure oil exploration on these identified sites come to fruition, while the immediate communities give their maximum cooperation to government and its officials in pursuance of this lofty achievements.
