JOSSITES FOR DAKUM

Good  afternoon men and women of the press, good afternoon ladies and gentlemen.We want to  thank God Almighty for the gift of life and for  allowing us the opportunity to see a day like this .we say may his name be praised both now and forever Amen.

We are gathered here today as JOSSITES FOR DAKUM  a support group for Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum.This group is primarily made up of students of the  prestigious university of Jos. Students with likeminds within the university, who believe in the movement of CONSOLIDATION FOR A GREATER PLATEAU.

It was Albert Pine an English author who wrote in the early 19th ninetheen Century  that what we have done for ourselves alone dies with us.What we have done for others and the world remains and is immortal.It is on the backdrop of this statement that we are gathered here today to act not for ourselves,but to act for the collective good of every plateau citizen ,to act for the present and future of our dear Plateau State. Today we are in a critical stage in the existence of our nation and most importantly our state plateau.There is a need for us all as plateau citizens  to act with the sole aim of seeing plateau State grow, to act first for plateau rather than act due to premodial sentiments or act on the basis of selfish interest or personal aggrandizement.

We believe that Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum is the man that  plateau State requires at this stage of it's existence and political history. This is due to his proven capacity to lead,a track record of performance and a lot of social exposure he posses,which is both local and international.These amongst many other positive qualities are what has endeared us to the person and aspiration of  Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum.

We can not shy away from the fact that today in Plateau State that there are issues, issues that have to do with insecurity,lack of job opportunities for youth, constant breakdown in the academic calendar of tertiary institutions in the state , infrastructural deficit and the poor state of the health Sector in the state. But at thesame time we can not say  that considerable efforts have not been made to salvage this situations we find ourselves in but more needs to be done and that's why today Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum has come under the mantra of consolidation.To build on the positive structures that has been laid down by the leaders of plateau starting from the days of General Yakubu Gowon and Governor J.D Gowmwalk to the present leadership of Rt.Hon Barrister SB Lalong. We believe that Dr Patrick Dakum is emminettly qualified and the most prepared  person for the number one job of the land.

After critical and careful analysis and field reports we have come to the conclusion that Dr. Patrick Sunday Dakum is that man that can lead APC on the plateau to victory at the secondary elections and bring dividends of good governance to the people of plateau State. Therefore we as JOSSITES for Dakum have decided to use our platform to endorse the candidature of Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum to not just emerge as the gubernatorial flag bearer of the APC on the plateau but to also emerge victorious at the polls in the 2023 general elections.We believe that Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum is APC's best bet and Plateau State's best option.

We want to call on the delegates of  the APC  participating in the party primaries to first think about plateau state before any other thing.There is a reason God has made you to be a delegate at this crucial time in the history of plateau State,it's not by chance do not allow yourself derail from what God wants you to do for plateau state. We call on all APC delegates vote massively without fear or favour  for Dr.Patrick Sunday Dakum  and also want to call on the Party Excos to allow a level playing ground for all aspirants in the primary election.

We want to appeal to the incoming governor of plateau State by the grace of God Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum to look into the issue of bursary (scholarship) payment to students in the state to ensure they receive this payment when due.We also want to appeal to His Excellency the incoming governor by the the grace of God not to forget the university of jos because despite it being a federal institution,It's the people of plateau State that are benefiting from it.We call on his Excellency to be to come and partner with the great University of Jos so that to boost the quality of education that comes out from the University and by so doing it will improve the quality and standard of living of the people of plateau.state.

A vote for Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum is a vote for a united plateau where the goal is to be a team player , playing for the success of the team and not for individual glory or applause . Where our diversity is our greatest weapon ,one for all,all for one. where an injury to Musa is an injury to Peter, not where Musa is injured and Peter denies him three times and vice versa. A team where  Pam will not hold on to the ball refusing to pass to awin, a team where Hassan isn't performing at his best and will freely give way for Uche to contribute his/ her own qouter to the game ,a team where language ,tribe or religion is not a barrier to success. A team that understand that peace is the ultimate panacea to having a stable environment where all our dreams hopes and aspiration can come to life.My fellow Plateaunians let's unite to think and act plateau, let's Think and act Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum for governor of plateau State come 2023.Remember A vote for DR Patrick Sunday Dakum is a vote for a secured plateau! Plateau we deserve better, we deserve the best and with Dr Patrick Sunday Dakum we have the best let us not allow this opportunity pass us by.
