Langtang North Council Boss presented 2022 budget of N 2.7B to legislative arm

The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council, Hon Barr Zulfa Bitrus Rimven has presented the 2022 budget of N2,785,535,772.22 to the Legislative Arm of council for approval.

The Chairman presented the budget before the Local  Government Legislative Chambers and was presided over by the Leader of the Legislative Arm,Hon Nanzing Miner.

He said the revival of the Legislative system was to ensure transparency and inclusiveness in the administration of the Local Government.

While presenting the budget, the Local Government Chairman said, the N2,785,535,772.22 budget was prepared with input  from various wards under the Local Government Council. 

According to him, the budget is going to be funded with the Local Government Council allocations from the Federal Government, as well as the Internally Generated Revenue of the council.

He said, education, health and security will get the lion share of the budget presented before the council assembly, while priority would also be given to women and youth empowerment.

While receiving the budget the leader of the Legislative arm, Hon Nanzing Miner said, the local government legislators will look into the budget and ensure speedy passage. 

He said they are working harmoniously with the Local Government Executive Arm to ensure delivery of good governance to the people of Langtang North LGA.
