Gov. Lalong set to complete Pankshin Lankan road, releases 200M for contractor's mobilization back to site. 

The Plateau State Governor, Rt. Hon. Dr. Simon Bako Lalong KSGG and the Chairman Northern Governors Forum, has reiterated his total commitment toward the completion of Pankshin Lankan road before the end of his administration. 

The Governor made the cheering news while attending the Vwang day of the Mupun cultural celebration, which to place on Saturday 12th March 2022 at Langkan the headquarters of Mupun Nation. 

Speaking on behalf of the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Hon Diket Plang Special Adviser to the Governor on media Stated that Governor Lalong has directed the Commissioner of Finance Mrs Regina Swaomlat to release the sum of ₦200 million to the contractor handling the abondoned Pankshin Langkan road for the contractor to immediately go back to site. 

Governor Lalong further appreciate the Mupun Nation  for their support towards him and directed the prompt release of the fund. 

He said the projects was abandoned by previous administrations of the state.

The Pankshin Lankan road is said to have been abandoned by successive government of the state starting from 1999 ,the contact for the construction of the is said always reflect in every budget which no one can authoritatively say what went wrong in every points in time that the contract is abandoned.

Furthermore, Hon Plang said the Governor is deeply touched with the state of the road for over two decades by successive  past government,and the community that has produce notable personalities  both in the past and present administration.

He also started that though the failed contracts was not awarded under the watch of his administration, but as a responsible government of Rescue Administration “has promised that he will not leave any abandoned projects behind whether initiated by me or my predecessors as is for the development of plateau state.

The Governor however stated that considering the immediacy associated with the project ,he has given matching order for the release of  fund and the commencement of  work for the construction of the road. 

Its however worth to point out that the state commissioner for finance Ragina Soemlat,Professor  Dakas,Dr Dakum and other notable sons and daughter of pankshin come from Lankan,while Yusuf Adam  Gadi is their Representatives at the National House of Representative
