The Plateau State House of Assembly, on Tuesday declared the seat of the lawmaker representing Jos East constituency in the house of assembly Hon Ayuba Abok vacant.

The Plateau house of Assembly took the decision during a plenary that took place at the  temporary chamber at the old Government house Jos and presided over by Speaker, Hon Sanda Ayuba.

The Speaker further declared the Rukuba/Irigwe constituency seat vacant following the former member Hon Musa Agah,s Victory at the recent Jos North/Bassa Federal Constituency bye election.

It could be recalled that the former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly Abok Nuhu Ayuba, last weekend decamped from the All Progressives Congress APC to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

A statement signed by Itse Samuel Kaze, Media Assistant to Abok Nuhu Ayuba, reads that Ayuba, on March 18th, officially tended his letter of resignation from the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC), while presenting a letter of intent, seeking to return to his earlier party, the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), at the party’s Local Government Secretariat in Angware, Jos East.
