Breaking: Plateau Assembly reinstates Kanam LG Chair

The members of the Plateau State House of Assembly has today reinstated the executive chairman of kanam LGC, Hon Wokdung Adamu Abbas after its earlier three months suspension.

Senior special assistant to the executive chairman on Media and publicity said, Hon Wokdung while receiving the cheering news, was full of gratitude to God almighty and appreciated the rescue team leader, Rt Hon Barr Simon Bako lalong, the executive Governor of plateau State for his prompt intervention in the matter.

The council boss also applauded the Hon members of the 9th assembly under the pragmatic leadership of Rt Hon Abok Nuhu Ayuba. An action which the chairman said will continue to speak volume in and out of plateau State.

Wokdung while acknowledging the roles of different stakeholders in the unfortunate circumstances, also appreciated the kanam traditional council especially the Emir of kanam, his royal highness Alh Muazu Babangida Mohammad ll and the Pankwal Bogghom, his royal highness Alh Shehu Sulaiman and other royal fathers for their support and steadfastness throughout the period.

Appreciation also goes to the two Hon commissioners, Hon Alh Dayyabu Garga and Dr Istifanus Finangwai of the ministries of physical planning and Urban Dev. And that of Agriculture and rural dev respectively. Indeed, you have shown high sense of patriotism to your fatherland.

Hon Wokdung also applauded the support of the council legislative arm ably led by a trusted and patriotic leader, Rt Hon Ayuba Yahaya for exhibiting a high sense of cooperation and patriotism despite the mile political uncertainty.

To my loyal and dedicated deputy, I salutes your esteemed understanding and dedication to service for ensuring that a vacuum was not created in my absence.

I also salutes the security apparatuses in the council for their gallantry in maintaining sanity throughout the period. Be reassured of my government's support and commitment to curbing all security threat in kanam permanently.

To the good citizens of the council, your support and prayers truly reflected today's development. May we all receive God's blessings and favor as I set to resume the task of consolidating on our mandate.
