COVID19: We won't inflicts pains on our workers-NASCO Group of companies 


The Management of NASCO Group of Companies said in will not inflicts more pains by retrenching or reducing the  take home pay  of its staff despite the devastated effect of the global COVID19 pandemic. 

The Group General Manager Administration of NASCO,  Alh. Shehu Nyalun disclosed this on Thursday when leadership of the Correspondents' Chapel, Nigeria Union of Journalists, Plateau State paid them a visit at the NASCO Office, Jos, Plateau State.

He said the NASCO Group  of companies dwell on the production and distribution of a diverse range of food and household products and said reducing their workers due to COVID19 will inflicts hardship on them and their families.

Yalum said the management has agreed not to reduce their workers, instead they have employed more as parts of their Corporate Social responsibility to the Nation.

"We will get out of the pandemic, but we will not reduce workers as other organisations are doing, we will come out stronger to continue with our corporate, social responsibility to the Nation."

He commended the Correspondent's Chapel's leadership for the visit and promised that NASCO will continue to partner with Journalists for the growth and prosperity of Nigeria.

Chairman of the Correspondent's Chapel Nigeria Union of Journalists, Plateau State Chapter, Mr. Gyang Bere said the visit was to familiarised and strengthen the working relationship between NASCO  and Journalists in the state.

He said Journalists will continue to partner with reputable organisation such as NASCO towards providing good and quality products for the state and nation at large.

Gyang commended NASCO for recently donating 500 cartons of Antibacterial Handwash to the Plateau State Government as part of its efforts in assisting the state in curbing the spread of the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said the reconstruction  of Old Airport and Miango Junction Roundabout by NASCO has added the needed beauty in the State Capital.
