Guber candidate, Deputy, 9000 others decamped to APC endorses Nentawe.


The Governorship Candidate of the Young Progressive Party (YPP) Engr. Manji Gontori, his Deputy Prof. Ishaya Pam, YPP House of Representatives candidate for Wase Federal constituency, Engr.Hamza Haruna and 9,000 others.


The decampees who were received by the APC chairman in Plateau state, Hon. Rufus Bature during the party’s governorship candidate campaign flag off, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, which held at Wase LGA mini stadium.


The Young Progressives Party Governorship Candidate  Engr. Manji Gontori, also endorsed the joint ticket of Dr. Nentawe Yiltwatda  and Hon. Pam Botmang. 


He disclosed that he made the decision to quit from the race to pave way for the emergence of his kinsman. 


The leader of the decampees and the Governorship Candidate of YPP Engr. Manji Gontori said: "I am stepping down my interest to support Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda."


Engr. Gontori also declared that he will deliver 2 million votes for th APC during the polls, saying, "There is no other party in Plateau State apart from the APC, he said." 

On his part, Governor Simon Lalong revealed that APC is the only political party that is attaining to the wishes and aspirations of Nigerians.


Lalong who doubles as DG Tinubu/Shettima campaign organization urged Plateau and Nigerians to get their permanent voters card, PVC, ready and votes APC from top to bottom come 25t .

Lalong is optimistic of a big win for the party in the forthcoming elections from the State to the Federal level.  

He expressed confidence that from available indices, the forthcoming 2023 general elections will be in the favour of the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC. 

He said:  "from the response so far, the people of Nigeria and Plateau State have decided to go with Bola Ahmed Tinubu as President and Kashim Shettima as his Vice, as well as Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda as the next Governor of Plateau State with Pam Bot-Mang as his Deputy." 


Also in his part, the Deputy Speaker, House of Representatives, Hon. Idris Wase Maje  commended the leadership style of Governor Simon Lalong, describing his approach to governance as being all inclusive. 

Hon. Maje said: "Lalong has united the State and connected very well with the Federal Government thereby attracting projects and appointments that have never been brought to the State. "

He said the people will reward the Governor by electing Nentawe as his successor and also sending him to the Senate to continue his good works of promoting the interests of the people of Plateau State.  


Similarly, the member representing Pankshin/Kanke/Kanam Federal Constituency at the National Assembly, Rt.Hon. Yusuf Gagdi postulated that Governor Simon Lalong has attracted long lasting dividends of democracy to the State. 

The Law maker affirmed that, “I am the leader of legacy group and we are ready to dedicate all our resources, time and intelligence to ensure the emergence of all APC candidates.” 

In his remarks, APC Gubernatorial candidate Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda thanked the people of the State for showing him uncommon love and acceptance, promising to work to sustain the peace and security of the State by building on the achievements of Governor Lalong. 

He said the vision of the Generation Next team is to create wealth and deepen empowerment of the people leveraging on technology and innovation. 


He said he will build on Lalong's achievements in other sectors such as health, education and infrastructure development, empowerment, job creation as well as social cohesion.

While the State Party Chairman, Hon. Bature charged members of his party to remain steadfast in the ongoing electoral process and ensure they go back to their polling units to work for the victory of Dr. Nentawe and all the candidates of the party in the forthcoming elections.
