Governor Lalong enjoined the family of late Da Lamba to emulate his footsteps

Governor Simon Bako Lalong of Plateau State has enjoined the family of late Da Lamba Bot to follow his footsteps so as to grow more in the Lord.

Speaking at the funeral service of late Baba Lamba who died at the aged of 85 at the Assemblies of God Church, Evangelical Worship Centre in Jos, Governor Lalong  who was represented by the Commissioner of Budget and Economic Planning, Hon Dan-Philip Hirkop said that Mr. Lamba Bot who is the father of Peter Lamba Bot, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of budget and economic Planning described Lamba's death as a great loss to the entire family as the deceased left a good footprint for the family and others to emulate.
and prayed that the good Lord to stand in the gap that has been created by the deceased.


In his sermon, titled "THE DEATH OF THE RIGHTEOUS", Reverend Dr. Ezekiel Solomon said death as an unwanted guest symbolizes the power and total authority of God over his creation and urged everyone to die as a righteous person. Stating that the death of a righteous is Precious, hopeful, Triumphant, Divine and a gain before the Lord.

The Cleric admonished believers to always live an exemplary life as death has no discrimination between the young and the old, rich and the poor, adding that is only the unbelievers are afraid of death.

The Permanent Secretary Plateau State Ministry of Budget and Economic Planning, who testified on behalf of the family described the deceased as a worthy man who lived a humble and patience life, noting how Baba always gives his contribution and support to his children.

Among the testifies were the Church, the Plateau State Traditional Council and the deceased Uncles also accounted on death as the ultimate end of all mortals adding that the deceased was a pacemaker and gentleman and called on the family members to take solace in God as their father left a good legacy while on earth.

Late Lamba Bot served at the Gbong Gwom Palace during the the reign of late HRH Da Dr. Fom Bot and was later transfered to Riyom Local Government Council where he work assiduously and retired on the 14th of July 2005 after reaching the age of 60 years.


Late Lamba was survived by a sister, 7 children, 17 grand children, 20 great grand children, sons and daughters in-law and many other relations.
