My administration is working round the clock to better the lives of our youths-Hon. Yakubu

The Executive Chairman of Jos East Local Government Council of Plateau State, Hon. Ezekiel Yabuku has stated that his administration is working round the clock to see that youths of his Local Government should have a better days under his administration.

The Chairman gave the disclosure in an interview he granted to Journalist at the Azi Nyako Youth Center of Jos South Local Government Area of the state presently.

The Chairman who also advice the newly inaugurated elected State Executive Council of "Ethnic Nationality in Plateau to not to allow themselves to be used by politicians, particularly now that the general election is just around the corner, realising that they play an important role in determining the leaders that comes to power considering their numbers in Plateau State in particular and by extension Nigeria in general.

He said the excos of the Ethnic Nationalities, Plateau State Chapter is coming at period that can be best be described as a period they needed to be wise and careful with the politicians who will approach them to influence their decisions for votes. My sincere advice to them is to be careful to avoid voting in the wrong leaders who can make and marr their future.

Hon. Yakubu who graced the inauguration with the entire members of Jos East Local Government cabinet members said it is imperative because one of their own, Barrister Zachariah Awang happened to be the Chairman of the body and its important to come and support him with our attendance.

In his acceptance speech on behalf of the other inaugurated excos of "Ethnic Youths Nationalities" in the state, the Chairman Barrister Zachariah Awang said the Nationalities participation in the election is a clear indication that we are ready and yearning for a positive change, the great numbers was not just for elections purposes, but I'm confident that a paradigm shift has began, where everyone has a stake towards an eventful tenure. Our unity as a people must be guarded jealousy.

He further said as a youth group, we're not only a pressure group or watchdogs but critical stakeholders in the development of our State.

He stressed that the tripartite hardcore of our administration includes, Unity/Ethical Reorientation, Empowerment and Security.

"It is time the Plateau Ethnic Youths engage with issues, not to be pushed to the back of the queue, relegated or to be looked down. We are determined to guard ourselves from praise singing and scavenging from one office to the other for personal aggrandizement, but shall be bold to call a spade a spade no matter the cost as contentment and integrity shall we hold to firmly.

He promised that the voice of union must be heard and words shall be marched with actions.

He added that the body who is neither political have all it takes to make the changes we desire for us to have a proper footing and take off, the Coalition is in dire need of a Secretariat and vehicle, as we can't be wandering from one public centre to the other for our meetings like children without parents and home.

Thanking Governor Bako Lalong who he said has done well and are hopeful on bended knees they will graciously grant our genuine request.

"As we approach the 2023 General Elections, the power that lies on the thumb of the youths , who constitutes not less than 70% of the State voting strength must be judiciously exercised we must resist thuggery and any form of negative vices and contribute meaningfully towards a better transition."

He further commended His Excellency, Rt. Hon. Simon Lalong, for placing the youths in strategic positions of his administration and allowing them to enjoy the pride of Not-Too-Young-To Rule, where majority of the legislators in the state at both the PLHA and NASS (Green Chambers) are youths, hoping that it will be maintained in 2023.

And said the developmental strides of governor Lalong lead administration in the state is glaring, however, more needs to be done especially on the pending Legacy projects spread across the State.

In there separate goodwill messages ,Nanle Kujo appreciated Jos East for their uprightness because in their dealings they never betrayed themselves not even the people under.

An urge to Ethnic nationality not to compromise in their action, particularly with any politician warned that they should not allow themselves to be pocketed by them. The
