British America Junction flyover to be commission either November or December 2022.- Hon. Bot-Mang 


The Plateau State Commissioner of works Hon. Pam Bot-Mang stated that with the space at which the work is ongoing, most likely the British America flyover will be commission either November or December 2022. 

Hon. Bot-Mang made the assertion while hosting the Executive and members of the Plateau Publishers Association (PPA) on Tuesday 19, April, 2022 in the conference hall of the Ministry. 


The workerholic Commissioner also stated that majority of the media houses living in Jos, doesn't go to the hinterland to get first hand information on Governor Lalong's administration achievements, as buck of the work carried out by his administration are in the hinterland where they may not be accessible to the media. 


He said, majority of the newspapers rely on some of the indigenous newspapers or blogs for most of their informations. 


Hon. Bot-Mang reiterated his total commitment toward partnering with the Plateau Publishers Association in other to continue to disseminate the Government information to the Plateau people. 


Hon. Bot-Mang who thank the association members for always enlightening the general public on the activities of the Government through their publications and online blogs. 


He also revealed that there are times, that hard questions maybe asked, and this questions they will never run away from them as a responsible Government, because every question that journalists will ask, they have answers for it. 


He said whether it is the right answer that people want to hear, or it is the real answer that says the truth on the administration achievement, something must be said. 


Furthermore, Hon. Bot-Mang thank God, that the Ministry of work is a ministry that saddle with professionals in all her activities. 

He said, from the introduction, one will believe with him that they in the Plateau State Ministry of works, all their engineers starting from the civil engineers, electrical engineers, and the mechanical engineers are one of the best brains one could fine, and not only here on the Plateau but in the country as a whole as they are members of their respective professional bodies. 

Hon. Bot-Mang also added that, whatever they do in the Ministry, they always try to prove the professionalism in them, and once they embark on a project they are always focus to deliver a quality projects to the people of the state. 

Putting more light on the ongoing British America flyover, Hon. Bot-Mang said, they in the Ministry always want to maintain few words, but more actions to deliver quality work to the people of the state as at when due. 

He also revealed that many Journalists approach the ministry seeking for approval to write either features or some special focus on the ongoing project, but they always maintain their stand of there is time for everything he said. 

The Commissioner also stated that, during the inauguration of the project, they reiterated to the people of Plateau that they will always inform them of the progress and milestones they have achieve in regard to the flyover. 

Also speaking on the completion of three major projects embarked by the Governor Lalong administration which are the legacy project, the British America Junction flyover, and the newly awarded Jos Terminus Main Market rebuilding, he said these are done deal. 

Putting more light on the reconstruction of the Jos Main market, he said it has already been signed with the Jaiz Bank which is partnering with the Plateau State Government. 

He said he wouldn't call it contract but partnering because is a 50/50 sharing partnership, as all the funding from start to finish is going to be provided by the Jaiz Bank at zero interest rate. 

He said after the completion of the reconstruction, they will take 50% of the shops. 

Hon. Bot-Mang also use the opportunity to dispel the rumors that after the completion of the project the bank will come to islamize the Plateau people. 

He said let those people saying that should bring a bank that will Christianize the entire Plateau people and build the market with zero interest rate.

As he said, the market will never be occupied only by Christians or Muslims alone but even people who don't believe in the two religions will also benefited from the market so why all this sentiment he asked?

Furthermore, he also revealed that the bank will also give interest free loan to some of those who will like to occupy the shops because it is also part of the partnership signed by the Government. 

In his earlier speech, the Chairman Plateau Publishers Association, Chief Amb. Nanyah Andrew Daman JP Jarumin Jat/Group Managing Editor Newsgate Magazine 
 thank God Almighty for the opportunity to celebrate another Easter in good health and for the kind approval of the Honorable for the valuable interaction to both the Ministry and the Plateau Publishers Association (PPA).

Daman stated that PPA is an association of twenty five (25) members, who are both print and online Publishers working day and night to perform their constitutional responsibilities of educating, informing and entertaining societies and members of the general public as members of the fourth estate of the realm.


Furthermore the Chairman requested for partnership with the Ministry to report and advertise the activities of the Ministry of Works in our publications at a moderate cost to defray the cost of production despite the inflammatory trend we are witnessing today in the country. 

Daniel also informed the Commissioner to know that PPA is the only registered Publishers Association in Plateau State to do business. Be warned of fake Publishers and Journalists spewing lies in order to get your attention and fleece the Ministry of hard earned resources.
