Retired Comptroller of Custom Nde Victor Dimka organises a Thanksgiving service to show gratitude to almighty God who sees him through in active service after serving his country till he attend the 60 years retirement age. 

The Retirement Thanksgiving sercice which held on Saturday, 7th, November, at COCIN LCC Tuwan, area of Kanke Local government of Plateau state amidst pomp and pageantry.

Nde Dimka, said having retired and I'm now fully back home, all I have to do is to offer myself for any assignment that our people want me to do and I'm prepared to work and serve under any capacity.


He said “ All I have to do having come back to my state is to give myself for any assignment that they might want me to do and I'm prepared to work and to serve under any capacity”

Ask if there's anything he felt undone that if given time he could have gladly done, the gubernatorial aspirant said: “Nothing. I did all that I need to do and I think I'm done”.

He also called on youths who are aspiring to be leaders like him to know that there's no shortcut to success and that you must be dedicated and upright and be ready to pursue your goals without hindrance.

He added “All I want to tell them is to say that there's no shortcut to success. You must be dedicated, you must be upright, you must be ready to pursue your goal without led or hindrance. They must ensure that when they are working with colleagues, they must ensure that they are transparent where they are the leaders of small groups they are leading. They must ensure that they must lead by example”. He said.


On the youth unemployment saga in Nigeria, the former Custom boss said: “Youth unemployment in Nigeria is very simple. Go back to the land to ensure all that is required to see that these youths are employed in a rural areas. Open up all the rural areas and made them attractive, once they are attractive they begin to know where they can fit in properly and get them engaged and eventually they'll be taken to higher grounds”. The retired Custom boss said.
On his part, the deputy Comptroller of Custom, Elisha David Chikan said himself and Victor have come along way in fact, since from Secondary School about 32years ago and described the celebrant as an “achiever and a go getter in the Nigerian Customs Service and he can serve in any other capacity”. Posit.
Other dignitaries who graced the event include Fidelis Nanmiap Tapgun, Depututy gov. Sonny Tyoden, Sen. Hezekiah Dimka Senator representing Plateau Central, Rev. Fr. Polycarp Lubo, Plateau state CAN chairman, sStephen Jiason the Plateau state Commandant NSCDC, Kefas Ropshik alias (Kefiano), Hon. Philip Dasun member representing Pankshin North in the Plateau State House of Assembly, Tamwakat Weli, Commissioner of Tourism Plateau state, Arch. Bishop Kwashi, Jidauna Dimka former SSG, and Amb. James Dimka among other dignitaries.
