He said the appointment of Rev. Yakubu Pam is a great privilege for the State to showcase its capacity to serve the country at the national level.

He said the Berom Nation remains grateful to the Governor for his passion for peace and development which is evident in the completion of inherited projects and implementing the Rescue Agenda.

He also used the opportunity to condemn the recent destruction and looting of public and private properties by hoodlums who hijacked the ENDSARS protests.

Rev. Yakubu Pam also said he was very glad and humbled by the opportunity to serve the nation which was given to him by the grace of God and the benevolence of President Muhammadu Buhari who honoured the request of Governor Lalong to appoint him.

He announced that pilgrims from Plateau State will be airlifted from the Yakubu Gowon airport Heipang for the first time thanks to the intervention of aviation stakeholders.

Governor Lalong thanked the Gbong Gwom and the entire delegation for the visit and said he was focused on developing Plateau despite resource challenges.

He said he will continue to work for the promotion of peace and creation of jobs using technical education as a base.
Governor Lalong appealed to the delegation to continue to appeal to the people to maintain peace and embrace dialogue in addressing grievances.
