The Plateau State House of Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Ayuba Nuhu Abok has called on the Federal Government to support the state with COVID-19 Mobile Testing facilities that will enabled the rural populace in the state also get tested of the novel pandemic

The Speaker of the State Assembly Rt. Hon. Nuhu Abok made this clarion call following prediction on another second phase of Coronavirus pandemic in the country, on wednesday 18, November, 2020 while leading members of the 9th Assembly during a World Press Conference which held at the NUJ Secretariat Jos, Plateau State capital.

He said Members of the State Assembly are determine to step down the testing efforts of the state government to rural areas but can only be possible with a mobile testing lab as demonstrated in Kano State and other Northern States of the Federation.

The Chairman House Committee on Health. Hon. Nanbol Listick stressed that citizens must come forward and get tested to know their status as the state prepare for the forthcoming NAFEST. "Now that NAFEST Festival is to hold in Plateau State, where people across the country will come and interact. So, There is the need for citizens to come forward for testing."

"Already, the vaccine had passed 90% trial, the more we conduct test, the data will help us get our share of the vaccine in the nearest future," he stated.

Member representing Pankshin North and Chairman House Committee on Information. Hon. Philip Dasun maintained that the Plateau State House of Assembly is solidly behind the #EndSARS Movement for bringing out legitimate issues towards the growth and development of Nigeria.

He condemned the action of criminal elements who strife to give the EndSARS struggle a bad image by destroying and looting both public and private properties in the state and other part of the country.

He called on young people in the state and the country at large to take advantage of the "Not Too Young To Run Bill" and get into public offices in their numbers come 2023.
