RELIGIOUS BIGOTS SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO GOVERN PLATEAU STATE- PROF. DAKAS.

A gubernatorial aspirant under the platform of the All Progressives, Congress, Professor C. J .Dakas, has said that Plateau state should not be governed by  religious bigots.
He stated this yesterday when he paid a courtesy visit on the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Hon. Rufus Bature at the Ewarewah House party secretariat.

Sylvanus Namang, APC State Publicity Secretary and was made available to News Parrot stated that the gubernatorial aspirant , who was a former Attorney General of Plateau State , stormed the party's secretariat with a large crowd of supporters, said the electorate should equally be careful not to elect  people with ethnic agenda.
Professor Dakas said he had come to the party's secretariat to specially congratulate and rejoice with the Rufus Bature- led state executive Committee of the party.
He revealed that he would come back on a later date to officially unveil his manifesto for Plateau state.

The former  Dean Faculty of Law, University of Jos, stated that the present exco of the party was on the threshold of history to break the jinx of installing a successor from the same ruling party as governor which he had no doubt about its capacity to do so.
Professor Dakas who eulogised the pedigree of Hon. Rufus Bature, said the  exco has the  responsibility to unite the party at all levels.
The governorship aspirant praised the Lalong Administration’s achievements, especially within the last one week where the state emerged as the best on the African continent by winning the Open Government Award on Transparency and Accountability held in South Korea.

He said the Lalong administration deserves accolades for the bold steps to take over from Duncan Maritme company the Jos Inland Container Depot which is rated one of the best in the country and closest to the international airport.
Professor Dakas also praised Governor Lalong for creating an enabling environment for foreign investment in the state with Shorprite's decision to open a franchise in Jos next year.

Responding, the APC Chairman, Hon. Rufus Bature assured the aspirant of creating a level playing field for all the aspirants in order to come our with the best candidate.

"This exco is not just going to be fair but just to all the aspirants under the APC", he emphasised.
Hon. Rufus Bature agreed with the gubernatorial aspirant on the need to develop our diversity into unity.
He said religion is an issue of the heart unlike science which is an issue of the head.

He warned against greed and selfishness by politicians which is one of our bane nationally.

The Chairman said he believed in continuity which we should copy from Lagos State which has brought about the massive infrastructural development of the state.
