Interchange flyover: PLSG engaged stakeholders towards payments of compensation


Following the approval by the Executive Governor of Plateau State Rt. Hon. Barr. Simon Bako Lalong for the design and construction of an  Interchange (Flyover) at British America Junction and the dualization of the road from British America to Lamingo Junction; and the subsequent constitution of a committee to forsee  the compensation of Land and landed property that would be affected by such construction works.

Information Officer Ministry of Works and was made available to News Parrot stated that the  committee has commenced work in honest with meeting of stakeholders. 


Addressing stakeholders, the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of works Engr. Alexander PlangNan who is the Chairman of the Committee speaking with the people whose property were affected informed the people that the meeting is a platform for interaction and enjoined all to corporate with the Committee and equally raise concerns and their observations. 


Earlier Engr. Alexander  stated that the purpose of the meeting is for the committee to sight the originals of  property documents involved, evaluate it and subsequently determine the level of encroachment or none to the right of way (30M from the center of road) and also evaluate same for further compensation. He equally addressed issues raised and noted other observations as he advise those who could not present their property documents today to make same available to the committee for  necessary survey evaluation. 

He added that the evaluation of the property will be feartly and professionally done in accordance with the extant laws by personnel of  Plateau State Ministry of Lands, Survey and Town Planning.
