PPA calls for truce between Government and LG employees

Pained by the ongoing protests by Plateau State Local Government Employees, Plateau Publishers Association (PPA), calls for an understanding between the government and the employees to bring to an end the protests so that business activities can flow smoothly in the state; save motorists plying the roads and sick people going for medication the pains of taking long periods before reaching their destinations.
The call was made by the PPA Chairman, Shabul Mazadu, who said Plateau State has been in hell since the introduction of lockdown as a means of curbing the Covid-19 pandemic which wounded so many businesses, and the #EndSARS protests that resulted to crises, loss of lives, looting, arsons and vandalization of private and public properties and curfews.
Mazadu added that with the recent resumption of schools where parents are struggling to pay school fees of their children and wards, transporting their children to school, feeding and paying other bills, the consequences of another protest will only increase frustration, trauma, poverty and pains. And that with the yuletide at the corner, it is comely for the citizens on the Plateau to end up the year with peace and rest from the stress we went through from the lockdown, curfews, crises and vandalization of properties.
He posited that the greatest population of the state is stressed up and there is a need for understanding between the LG employees and both state and local governments on the matter of the minimum wage to be resolved so as to enhance brotherliness for the benefit of the entire state.
