Plateau Publishers Association hails peaceful conduct of Plateau South by-election


The Plateau Publishers Association (PPA) has hailed all the key players of the Saturday Plateau South by-senatorial election over a successful conduct of the election where no lost of life, destruction of properties, ballot snatching, disruption by thugs and injuries were recorded.

The Chairman of the association, Mr Shabul Mazadu, said all the key players who were: the Independent Electoral Commission (INEC), Plateau State Government, Security Agents, party faithful both of the incumbent and the opposition, the senatorial candidates, electorates and party agents, deserve colossal commendation for their cooperation and understanding which were the active ingredients that made the elections successful being adjudged to be peaceful, free and fear.

The chairman also commended the All Progressives Congress candidate who is the Senator-elect, Dame Professor Nora Dadu'ut and her closest rival, Rt. Hon George Daika, candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, for rigorously and vigorously campaigning without any clash, fuss and fight. This matured conduct of campaign and voting, he said is truly a beacon of matured politicking lightening the political sea for posterity political voyage.
Mazadu called on both the winner and the loser to be magnanimous in victory and defeat, and to join hands in elevating the Southern Senatorial district by enhancing its infrastructures and bettering the welfare of its constituents.
