PW-Nigeria set to resume work on Dogon Karfe-British America road in Jos


The returned of expatriates who earlier checked out of the Country as a result of COVID-19 pandemic has given way to the resumption of Works particularly on the Mararaban Jama'a -British America road said Engr. Hyat who is the Permanent Secretary Ministry of works. He reiterated that Government is concerned about the plight of the Motorists and is committed to completion of the road.


He further stated that about two weeks back, while on a visit led by Works Commissioner, Hon. Pam Bot- Mang accompanied by the director operations PW- Nig. Mr. Martins O'Boyle to Dogon Karfe - British America Junction road, the Commissioner disclosed that the contractor will soon return to site to complete the outstanding works.

The quarry is now opened for operations and that the Project Manager will ensure adequate supply of materials Engr. Hyat added.

Also speaking with journalists, the site Engr. PW-Nig. Lanre Ogunromila stated that they are fully back on-site and working on Abattoir road which links to Dogon Karfe road.

Director of Civil Engineering in the Ministry appeals to road users to be patient and obey road signs and other staff directing the traffic.


In his part the residence Engr. Beedee Bott urged the contractor to mobilize more Men and materials in order to intensify efforts to carry out some palliative measures to make areas that were already been eroded motorable as well as completion of same.

Youth leader Dogon Karfe community, Mohammed Shugaba described the Contractor's returned to site as a welcome development and applauded the efforts of Government in providing social amenities despite scarce resources.
