Breaking: 45 aspirants clears for September 3, 2020 APC bye election primaries

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has today  1st September 2020 cleared all the aspirants who purchased expression of interest and nomination forms to contest the party’s primary slated for September 3, ahead of the October 31 concurrent legislative by-elections.

Spokesman of the party, Yekini Nabena, disclosed this in a statement. 

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had fixed the legislative by-elections for October 31 to fill vacancies created as a result death or resignation of former occupants of the seats.

The elections will be conducted in eight (8) states of the Federation.

The states and the legislative seats are:

Bayelsa Central Senatorial District Election, Bayelsa State.

Bayelsa West Senatorial District Election, Bayelsa State.

Nganzai State Constituency Borno, Borno State.

Bayo State Constituency, Borno State.

Cross River North Senatorial District, Cross River State.

Obudu State Constituency, Cross River State.

Imo North Senatorial District, Imo State.

Lagos East Senatorial District, Lagos State.

Kosofe II State Constituency, Lagos State.

Plateau South Senatorial District, Plateau State.

Bakura State Constituency, Zamfara State.

Ibaji State Constituency, Kogi State.
