Langtang North Chairmanship tussle, maintain statusquo until otherwise-AIG Danduara

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of zone four Magurdi of Benue State, AIG Mustapha Danduara has call on for the maintenance of the statusquo in Langtang North Chairmanship tussle.

The AIG made the call at the police officers mess in Jos the Plateau State capital yesterday where he sat with the two Warren groups in search for a lasting solution to the lingering Chairmanship tussle between the newly sworn in Chairman Barr. Bitrus Zulfa Rimven of the All Progressive Congress (APC) and Ubandoma Joshua Laven of the People's Democratic Party PDP.

AIG Danduara stated that the duty of police is to supervise the execution of judgement by the Court bailiffs

He said police can not go on their own to executes judgement not to talk of the former Chairman as it is I'll timing to do so. 

Furthermore the AIG stated that it is true that the former Chairman got his judgement and is left for the the incumbent Chairman or whoever that want to appeal the judgement to go and do so. 

" You have already gotten you judgement in your own favor and wherever the thing goes round they most contact you, and not in your power to go forcefully to go and takeover that Secretariat" 

AIG Danduara also said that "if the other party decided to go for an appeal and stay of execution or whatever they call it then you have no power to take over power but you have to wait as it is only the court that can come and take to that place". 

He also advise the former Chairman to remain calm because there is a process for everything, but if he want to make consultation then it is left for the other group to come and look for him and if he said no now there is a judgement in your favor and you are the new Chairman fine but always allow the law to take it cost of making you the Chairman. 

The AIG also stress the need to always allow the process to take place, as he said allow the Chairman to stay in his office pending when all the processes has been exhausted either by going for an appeal or the person want to reconcile with you. 

AIG Danduara stated that, what if the other group took that same path and there is a fight and as a result there was lost of life and property what will be the essence of been the Chairman of the people, He ask?

He call on the warren faction not to relent in letting them know of the final outcome of either the reconsolidation or the appeal, but not to go and start engineering or brainwashing their supporters to go out and take their laws into their hands, he said that they will never take it likely with anyone. 

In his remarks Barr. Bitrus Zulfa Rimven stated that it is very unfortunate for things to happen the way it happened, but God let it to happen for a reason. 

He extolled the wise counsel giving to him by the newly posted Plateau State Commissioner of Police who advise him not to go down to Langtang despite the fact that he wanted going but he couldn't go. 

He said he is not a party in the suit hence the judgement can not be enforced on him. 

Barr. Zulfa stated that it is true that the former Chairman has a judgement but giving the security situation he should have followed the due process in implementing the judgement destroying the gate of the council is criminal and he wouldn't tolerate such from any body.

Furthermore he stated that he was sworn in by the Governor and if there is a judgement against the Governor and the proper thing to do is to imposed the judgement on the Governor, Ministry for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Office of the Antony General of the State then they will be the one to ask him to vacate the seat but not the other way round, He said. 

Barr. Zulfa also stated that there are five reliefs and the court granted all the relief, by saying that if the defendants in the cost of execution of the judgement could not adhere to XYZ then the alternative relief which is the computation of salaries and payment become applicable. 

He said by the time you move the machinery of law to impose this judgement option will be made available and it will safe the hot blood.

 

Also on his part, the former Chairman Hon Ubandoma Joshua Laven stated that the law did not accepted Barr. Zulfa as Chairman.

He said he truly wanted to resolve that long ago with the Governor by writing him three letters demanding to know when will be the expiration of his tenure but to no avail.

Also Hon Ubandoma stated that he followed the governor and the government gently but they failed to listen and now that he has their balls in his hands he would not back down so easily. 

He also stated that since he have the court order in his hand he will fight with it so that when the authority come they will see what will happen. 

Furthermore Hon Ubandoma also extolled the patient of the new CP for going out of his way to get his phone number and was busy calling him to make sure things are put under control.
