Hon. Ubandoma's resort to self enforcement of judgement, act of rascality - Barr. Zulfa

Hon. Ubandoma's resort to self  enforcement of judgement, act of rascality - Barr. Zulfa

The Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Council of Plateau State, Hon. Barr. Bitrus Zulfa Rimven has Stated that Hon. Ubandoma's resort to self enforcement of judgement is an act of rascality and need to be condemned by well-meaning citizens of Plateau State.

Hon. Barr. Rimven stated this in a press statement made available to News Parrot Newspaper today Saturday 6th, November, 2021 and stated that his attention has been drawn to a publication by the Media Team of Ubandoma Joshua Laven, the former Chairman of Langtang North Local Government.

He said, " I would have overlooked the publication, but for the misrepresentation of facts, the false allegations levelled against my Peace - Loving self and the fact that the said publication has the capacity to incite violence in Langtang North Local Government Area."

Barr. Rimven furthermore stated that for the avoidance of doubt and to set the record straight,  the judgment obtained by Ubandoma Joshua Laven has nothing to do with him as the Executive Chairman of Langtang North Local Government Area and Langtang North Local Government Area as a legal entity.
He also stated that " I am not a party to that suit and judgment; neither is Langtang North Local Government Area."

The Chairman also reveals that  the incident of 2nd November, 2021 by Ubandoma Joshua Laven and his supporters is an act of criminality which has been reported to the appropriate authorities for necessary action.

The resort to self - help by Ubandoma Joshua Laven is not an act of enforcement of his judgment but an act rascality as it is the duty of the Court Sheriffs and the Nigerian Police to enforce the judgment of the court, he said.

Barr. Rimven also disclosed that assuming Ubandoma Joshua Laven can enforce the judgment on his own, he cannot enforce same against his humble self and Langtang North Local Government Area as they are not parties to his suit or judgment.

" What happened was an act of a Layman manifesting his poverty of the law and the workings of the law. It is pathetic that this abundance of poverty of civility and ignorance has led him to breaching the law".

He also reveals that, "let it be on record that my humble self as the Chairman of Langtang North Local Government was not in Langtang North when Ubandoma Joshua Laven invaded the Secretariat."
He said, "as a Civil Man and a Man of Peace that I have always been,  when I heard of what happened,  I only informed the relevant authorities for necessary action while I appealed to my supporters to remain calm and law abiding".

"Indeed, these actions taken by me was not only commended by the newly posted Commissioner of Police CP Bartholomew Onyeka but made the CP to name me 'A Peaceful Man' in the presence of the AIG Zone 4 and Ubandoma Joshua Laven and his supporters".

The Chairman also stated that"
Ubandoma Joshua Laven and his team of supporters know very well that I am not just a man of peace but a Lawyer by Profession. Hence, I cannot follow him into the gutter of mobilising thugs to destroy public property. These are the ways of Ubandoma Joshua Laven and his supporters and we have sent pictorial and videos evidences of the 'Park Boys' rascality exhibited by Ubandoma Joshua Laven and his supporters to the relevant authorities for necessary action".

He said, "may I equally utilise this medium to call for calm in Langtang North Local Government Area and to appeal to the peace loving people of Langtang to resist any attempt by Ubandoma Joshua Laven and his supporters to incite them to violence."
He also disclosed that, "Tarok man is a man of peace and we should all remain so. I am aware also that the judgment brandished by Ubandoma Joshua Laven has been appealed against and the Notice and Grounds of Appeal with other relevant documents have been duly served on him. As law abiding citizens, let us allow the law take it's full course. Long live Nigeria, long live Plateau State, long live Langtang North Local Government Area."
