Hon. Lar calls for the probe of murder of Bala
The Member Representing Langtang North / South Federal Constituency & Chairman House Committee on Science and Technology, Hon Beni Lar has received with sadness the news of the inexcusable murder of Mr Rinji Peter Bala, a young promising Nigerian by security personnel tasked with the responsibility of protecting lives & properties of citizens of Plateau State.
The federal lawmaker who made the call in a press release signed by her media aid Hon. Dogo Nimzing said at a time like this when Plateau State is fighting to survive the scourge of the deadly COVID-19 which has ravaged the world, security agents tasked with the responsibility of enforcing government policies have ignored all established rules of engagements to kill an innocent, armless, promising young man.
Hon Beni Lar said this latest incident has added to the number of the many reported cases of extra judicial killings of armless indigenes of Plateau by the military even as the Athena state has been left to endure such excesses in the hands of security men.
Hon Beni Lar who is also a member of the house committee on human rights demands this matter should be properly investigated by the military high command & the culprit / culprits involved in the killing be identified & justice should be allowed to take its full course.
Hon Beni Lar sends her heart felt condolences to Mr & Mrs Bala for the loss of their child noting that loosing one's child is an experience no parent should have to endure.
Hon Beni Lar prayed the Lord to comfort the family in this period of grief.
