Jos North Bassa Federal Constituency a stronghold of the APC-Hon Mafeng

Jos North Bassa Federal Constituency a stronghold of the APC-Hon Mafeng

Hon. Mafeng Gwallson is the current Executive Chairman of Riyom Local Government Council of Plateau State, had a media chat with some selected media men and he spoke on the forthcoming 26th February 2022 bye elections that will take place in Plateau, please enjoy the excerpts.

Sir how do you feel coming to celebrate with one of your colleague in person of Hon. Gideon Davou Dandareng?

Hon. Mafeng: well we are elated to celebrate one of us at 50, God has been very gracious and faithful to him for some of us who are younger, we celebrate him because we are hopeful that one day we are going to celebrate our own too.

So we feel very elated, it may not just be only to appreciate God only in his bedroom or in his Church, but he actually call people around to celebrate with him from different background and religion all gathered here to celebrate with him.

Sir away from the celebration, come Saturday the 26th day of February, 2022 people of Jos North, Bassa Federal and Pankshin South state Constituency will all go to the poll to elect their representatives, sir what is the level of your party preparedness?

Hon. Mafeng : well history has shown right from 2003, if you look at the succession of the people who have held that position, basically are the people that are within the APC extraction, so the same people who have done it in 2003, to date and that should tell you Jos North Bassa Federal Constituency has been one of the stronghold of the APC and I don't expect to see anything different from what we use to know.

We also have the Pankshin South House of Assembly, and if you look at the history also you will agree with me that, Pankshin South has been one of the strongest hold of the APC.

Sir, RT. Hon Yusuf Gagdi said some appointees of the Government are not living up to expectations and are not assisting the party financially and otherwise, what's your call on that?

Hon. Mafeng : well number one is that our fingers are not the same, in as much as they are appointees, it doesn't mean that they have access to resources simultaneously. You will agree with me that some will have access to resources than the others and there is no way we will contribute the same.

Not only appointees but we other stakeholders within the party, we have other people who were elected. I will sincerely appreciate what Gagdi is doing and if you compare what he is doing with some other elected national assembly members you will agree with me that he stood above many others.

So it's human nature that we are not all the same, O just like our fingers are not the same we can not do the same. But be it as it may, even if you don't contribute financially, there are others who have away of contributing.

There are others who have the power of speech, others have the power of influence, while others have the power of organizing. The most important thing here is that everybody should bring what he or she is good at in achieving this election.
