I have the pedigree to return Plateau North to APC Rt. Hon. Song

The former Speaker of the Plateau State House of Assembly and one of the front line contender to occupy the Plateau State Chairmanship seat of the All Progressive Congress (APC) come October, 2, 2021,  Rt. Hon. Isa Chungwom Song has revealed that he have the pedigree to return the Plateau North from the Peoples Democratic Party to his party the APC.  

Rt. Hon. Song made this known in an interview he granted to News Parrot Newspaper in his Jos country home stated that looking at his pedigree and political credentials, as someone who served as the convener of PDP in Barkin Ladi Local Government of the State during its early stage of formation and today PDP has a strong root.

Speaking on the driving force behind his ambition to contesting for the Plateau State APC Chairmanship seat, he said "the overall motive is to build the party from where it is now to a higher height, and a political party is not something that is static but it grows. And whoever that has the determination and capacity to ensure that their is participation by every loyal member of the party should be allow to have the opportunity and privilege to serve the party and ensure that there is participation". 

He also reveals that any political party that does not grow will dies a natural death, and for that reason, he don't want the APC die. 

He said, he was involved previously in ensuring that they play the path of ensure the grow of his previous party, before coming back to APC with the believe that ideals of the APC that snsure justice for all, and opportunity for all. So it is on the bases of that, he was  motivated to run for the chairmanship of the party in Plateau State. 

Also talking about the believe by Some people who believe that the APC has no root in the Northern part of the State most especially in the Berom speaking area, and also been someone who come from the Northern some and how prepare he is to bring these political juggernauts from the zone to the APC especially these from the Berom speaking area, he said with God everything is possible, and he believe that God will play a principal rulein  ensuring that everybody has a chance, in coming to APC under his watch, and to manifest their ability to work as a team to make sure that people realise what it take to be in a party like APC, that guarantee them the opportunity of participation. 

The Parliamentarian also disclosed that, it is true that the opposition PDP has a deep root in the northern zone of the State of which he was not only a member but he was a part and parcel of those individuals that make the PDP to be that rooted in northern zone having him as the convener of PDP in Barkin Ladi Local Government, and he know what it took him at that point of the inception of PDP to lean his own hands in ensuring that there is a solid foundation that came up at that time for the growth of PDP.

But PDP has grown to a stage, that gave some of the reason they had jumped ship to APC, and as he is sure if giving the opportunity he will help to ensure that everybody has  a chance of participation. And giving the promises in the constitution of the APC he thinks if everybody is giving a chance to participate at the end of the day APC will surpass the PDP here in the Northern zone in particular and Plateau State as a whole. 

Furthermore, Rt. Hon. Song disclosed that hw believe that he have the pedigree, and the political credentials  to return Plateau North to APC, and also believe strongly in the one that God can ensure and guarantee, what has always being the problem is the mind set of the people and sincerity of purpose. 

He said, when building a political party, it is not essentially right as leaders to put up personal interest to come before collective interest of the people. 

One aspects that is critical is building a party for the general good, that is why the issue of participation is critical. And the issue of abiding by the constitution is also critical because there in lays the promises that the party has for every loyal party  member.

Rt. Hon. Song also said" This thing am about to tell you, you can cut me anywhere, I am very ready to sacrifice self for the collective interest of all the loyal members of the party. And I also believe that every member of the party has equal right of participation because the political should be a platform. 

Today we are talking about APC as the ruling party in Plateau State and Nigeria, and all we need to do as loyal members of the party, and as leaders of the party, is to walk together in harmony to ensure that this participation is guaranteed by the constitution of the party for all.

The parliamentarian also revealed that if elected as the Chairman of the party, he promise to make sure that, he do not sabotage individual zeal to participate and once that one is done, people will be allow to freely come and exercise whatever they have insuring the desire of every loyal member to participate. 

So when you do that, you can bring people from all talk of lives and all tribes to participate, so you guarantee the chance of participation to all not to some and once you are fair in doing that everybody will flow in because it is only God that give power because we are all creation of God. 

Nobody knows what tomorrow will be like, but we know what tomorrow should look like, so once we come with that mind set of participating for a better tomorrow. We will insure that we get there and is the reason why I started by saying with God all things are possible. But let us not allow every bad thing to come to be rather let us all come together and work for every good thing to come to be. 

Speaking over the performance of the APC Government both in Plateau and Nigeria as a whole? 

Rt. Hon. Song said the party is in a journey, and one should know that if the Government of Plateau And Nigeria as a whole under the APC is not performing, it can not be guaranteed the second tenure.

He also disclosed that the second tenure giving to the APC is the manifestation that the people believe in what the Government is doing both at the State And the Nation in general. He said he surely know that some may disagree well it is their right to disagree and that's the part of the success of the government that is on the ground. 

He call on those in disagreement with the successes recorded by the APC Government not to take the disagreement to some settle level that those that are disagreeing will be sabotaging the government both in the state and federal, because there is no vacuum in leadership and they should know that there can never be good leaders without good followers.

So let's learn to be good followers and wait for the opportunities that will come in the future, which will guarantee  good leaders in the future. So I wish to use this opportunity to call on people to be submissive to government and then work with the opportunities they have legitimately to oppose. 

Speaking over the number of people contesting the Chairmanship seat, and his expectations at the end of the state Congresses, he said the contestants should learn to support and thank God at the end of the exercise, let their desire to be  a conduct of free and fair Congresses on the Plateau. And also most ensure that the lead by example because people need peace on the Plateau. And people need to know that peace can never be guaranteed by Government alone. 

All of them the participants most ensuring that they conduct themselves in a manner that can bring about peaceful coexistent among them all. 

And the need for all of them the contestants to know that the Chairmanship seat is only one and it is expected that it is only one person that will seat on that to pilot the affairs of the APC in the State.
