DAKAS ADVOCATES HOPE AS NIGERIA CLOCKS 61

It is yet another day in our nationhood to celebrate the labour of our heroes past and present.

On behalf of my family, friends and close associates, I rejoice with our leaders and all Nigerians on the occasion of Nigeria's 61st independence celebration.

Nigeria is not where it ought to be but it is certainly not where it was before, hence the need for us as a people to be grateful for the advancement so far in our democratic and infrastructural development despite the challenges that we grapple with.

Let us not succumb to gloom and despondency, especially in the face of our security challenges, but keep hope alive confident in the knowledge that God will help us to overcome our travails. 

I urge all Nigerians to rise above religious bigotry and ethnic jingoism and together strive to build the Nigeria of our dreams.
