Breaking: Taraba State House of Assembly suspens Four members.

Four members of the Taraba State House of Assembly have been suspended.

This follows a communication from the People Democratic party for the suspension of four members for anti party activities.

In  a motion moved by the majority leader Douglas Yahaya Ndatse and seconded by the deputy majority leader Ahmed Dawud Jeduwa.
Douglas yahaya Ndatse  said.

"According to section one zero nine subsection one G provided that any member of a party who embark on anti party activities should be disciplined. 

Reading the communication during plenary the speaker, Professor Joseph Albasu Kunini said:

"It became imperative for the four the members to be suspended following the outcome of the investigation by the PDP secretariat in the state.

The member unanimously accepted that they should be disciplined accordingly.

The suspended  members are:

Rt. Hon Abel Peter Diah - Mbamnga Constituency, Rt. Hon Mark Useni - Takum 2 Constituency, Hon Gambo  Maikudi - Bali 1 Constituency and Hon. Josiah J. Aji - Wukari 2 Constituency.

The action of the House was a follow-up to a communication from the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, Secretariat in the state, to the effect that the four members had defected from PDP to other political parties.

The House has notified Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku, heads of security agencies in the state, the Resident Electoral Commissioner and the Secretary to the Taraba State Government, of their action hours after it was taken.
