HUMBLE SUBMISSION TO MR GOVERNOR OVER THE ASPIRATION OF PROF PATRICIA MANKO LAR AS THE NEXT VICE CHANCELLOR OF UNIVERSITY OF JOS.

With humble submission and due respect, your Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, and Chairman of Northern Governor's Forum Rt. Barr. Hon Simon Bako Lalong, the Executive Governor Of Plateau State, Wish to solicit for your unflinching support over the aspiration of our Mother, Sister and Mentor, as the Next VC of University of Jos.

Prof Patricia M. Lar is a humbled woman with promising leadership capabilities. These could be witnessed during her tenure as the Head of department *(Microbiology)*, and Director of Linkages, University of jos. The image of the University as laid on ground by its founding fathers, needed to be sustained. It's for her to maintain this image, so as to enhance its heritage, to revitalize, to transform, to rebuild, to recast and to rescue in order to have a fine heritage, a fine legacy to pass on to posterity.
There are problems that call for urgent solutions in order to maintain the greatness, the uniqueness and the international fame and index of the University.

Therefore, Unijos needs a leader like Prof Patricia M. Lar to revitalize the age-long glory of the institution. Unijos needs a leader that is accommodating, so as to transform the present status of the university. She is a leader that is not pompous, neither does she parade herself as 'Mrs Know All'. She appreciates the feelings, the problems, the failures, the successes, the hopes, and the aspirations of others. She is a leader that doesn't allow communication gap to encroach on her good leadership. She remembers to deal not only with files but with people.

It's abundantly clear that Unijos is at the crossroads. A situation such as that in which we are called to new ways of thinking, new approaches and a new discipline of mind and characters, new commitment and resolve to confronting the changed and changing circumstances.
