PLASU Management Pays Condolence Visit to late Professor Fayam’s Family


The management of Plateau State University, Bokkos has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Professor Francis N. Fayam who died yesterday after a brief illness at the Jos University Teaching Hospital (JUTH).
Late Professor until his demise was a lecturer with the department of History and International Studies and Director of the Directorate of Research and Development of the University. 
Press statement made available to this medium by John K. Agam Public Relations Officer reveals that the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Yohana Daniel Izam who led the management team of the University on the condolence visit said late Professor Fayam contributed tremendously to the growth and development of the University, particularly in mentoring young lecturers. 
Izam who spoke through the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jurji Nengak Gomos said the University is saddened by the untimely demise of late Professor Fayam and prayed God to comfort and strengthen the family he left behind.
He said it is usually not easy for a family to loss it’s breadwinner but advised them to take solace in God who is the great provider and assured them of the University’s readiness to support the family whenever the need arises. 
On his part, the Head of Department, History and International Studies, Dr. Longmam Geoffrey Pienswan described late Professor Fayam as a father who impacted them positively saying they will forever remembered him for his mentoring role.
Responding on behalf of the family, Onosemaode Alice Fayam thanked all those who stood by them during their late father’s illness to point of his death and prayed God to reward the management, staff and students of the University richly for their support and prayers.
