Maiden Plateau Middle-Belt Leaders Connect & Get Together set to hold December, 22, 2024

All arrangements have been concluded by the 

Office of the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to Governor Caleb Mutfwang, of Plateau State on Middle-Belt Ethnic Nationalities for the Maiden Edition of the Plateau Middle-Belt  Leaders’ Connect and Get Together in Jos.

This announcement came in a press statement signed by the SSA to the executive Governor of Plateau State on Middle Belt Ethnic Nationalities, Hon. Dan Kwada, and made available to newsmen in Jos, the State capital Friday.

The statement states, “Office of the Senior Special Assistant to the Executive Governor of Plateau State, invites you to the Maiden Plateau Cultural Middle-Belt Leaders Connect and Get Together.

The event which is scheduled for Sunday December 22, 2024 at the Eliel Center Jos, Plateau State capital by 3pm is expected to have leaders of the various Middle-Belt Ethnic Nationalities from across 15 states in northern Nigeria and would have Revd Dr. Gideon Para-Mallam, and Hon. Engr. Jerry Satmark, the Chief Of Staff to the Plateau State Government to make Key Note Addresses.

Others who are expected to deliver good will Messages includes Critical Stakeholders of Middle Belt extraction, key Government officials, leadership of CONAECDA; PIDAN; Coalition of Plateau indigenous Youth. SUKAPO; Civil Society Organisations; Plateau NUJ; Middle-Belt Journalists Forum and a host of others.

According to the statement, the Event was part of the ongoing efforts by the Governor Mutfwang’s administration to foster unity, understanding and cooperation amongst various Middle-Belt Ethnic Nationalities”.

It would be recalled that, the SSA to Governor Mutfwang on Middle-Belt Nationalities upon resumption of office, embarked on a tour and sought the support and cooperation for the “Time Is Now” Administration.

He was able to reach over 100 Leaders of Middle-Belt Ethic Nationalities on the Plateau as well as critical Stakeholders of the region among which were the leadership of CONAECDA, PIDAN, SUKAPO, the Middle-Belt Journalists Forum etc.

While in an interview with Journalist in Jos, the SSA said, the get together for the leaders of various Middle-Belt ethnic Nationalities on the Plateau was the very first of its kind approved by Governor Mutfwang to foster unity, Peace and cooperation as well as to ensure inclusivity in his administration.

Hon. Dan Kwada, also disclosed that, preparations were on top gear to commence the Middle-Belt Ethic Nationalities Connect on the Plateau beginning from the year 2025 to further help promote culture and traditions of the various ethnic nationalities as well as to unite the people for the common goal of the region.
