Nigeria Government should embrace technology to fight insecurity now - Garba 


The founder and Chief Executive Officer of Corbanica Artificial Intelligence and Robotic Agents and a lecturer with the Plateau State Polytechnic Barkin Ladi, Mr Naankang Garba, has call on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency to embrace technology to fight insecurity in the Country. 


Mr Garba made the disclosure in an interview he granted to News Parrot shortly after the official launching and opening of some sophisticated robotic gadgets he made.


Garba said Government need to embrace technology, because technology has come to stay, one can only live in denial so it is necessary for Nigeria to embrace it now, especially in the area of security, healthcare services, and agriculture. 


He said these area need to be taking care of using the relevant technology so that the country will have a very good result. 


Giving insight to what Artificial Intelligence and robotic is all about, Mr Garba stated that the world is changing and because of that, one need to change with the world. He said the need for machines to help ease human activities has become more than necessary. 


He said creating greater abilities to provide greater services has also become the major discuss. 

Garba further reveals that what they are trying to do as an agency is to see how they can developed those areas in Nigeria and to encourage young people to be able to create devices and make machines that could enable human activities less hectic in anyway.


Also speaking over the motive behind the initiative, Garba state that been someone who has been in the classroom, for a long time especially in the higher institution, he always seen gaps in the area of knowledge sharing. 


He said one come to teach people who don't have the prior knowledge of computer base system it become a very big tasks, so as a company they always look at can they address this issues from children as small as eight years old, let them begin to  to be the tools that will define technology in the future to come. So they started from that perspectives by developing robotic around children so that they will be able to learn this concepts. 


Furthermore, he also reveals why they started the production of prosthetic lames for amputees, people who lost hands or legs. The company is also looking at other area of technological development that will contribute to the society. 


The company is also looking at producing a self driving cars, home automation system where you will speak to your lighting systems, speak to your television systems and all of this will begin to work. 


Garba also call on the Government for partnership, he said his desire is to see that the Government should look at how they can come in partner with him to derive this process, especially in the area legislation. 


If the government can come up with some relevant laws that will create the necessary implementations concepts for the nation. 


He also call on the Government to give out grands especially for start-up that are interested in this things to be able to drive up this things in the future.
