Plateau Publishers Association get's five man electoral committee

The Plateau Publishers Association(PPA) now has five man Electoral Committee(ELCOM) to conduct a proper election for an Executive Council to run the affairs of its members after the expiration of the 6 months tenure of the Shabul Mazadu led Interim Committee.

The ELCOM was elected at the Congress Meeting of PPA today 16th May,2021 at the Kalwa House temporary Secretariat of the PPA.

Those elected into the ELCOM included Chief Amos Gizo, Chairman;Hon.Daniel Kura,Secretary;Chief Mrs Yuwana Enoch Nanyah, Treasurer;Deaconess Florence Amos Emi, Financial Secretary;and Elder Yakubu Ajala, Public Relations Officer.

The interim EXCO led by Mr. Shabul Mazadu was earlier dissolved in a vote.Mazadu in his remarks after the dissolution thanked the PPA members for the opportunity to serve and promised to give the ELCOM every support to succeed. Shabul Mazadu administered the oath of office to the ELCOM.

In his acceptance speech, Chief Amos Gizo thanked the members of the PPA for the confidence reposed in him and promised to carry everyone along in the discharge of duties.

Gizo said apart from conducting a credible elections, he would ensure that the welfare of members is adequately taken care.

Present at the meeting were the Board of Trustees of the PPA, former Chairman, and members.
