Covid-19: Mamot set to stage 40,000 protest against landlords demanding payment from students

Comrd Akims Mamot James set to stage a forty thousand (40,000) protest against landlords who are demanding form payment from students. 

Comrd Mamot in a press statement states that on behalf of Nigerian students on the Plateau who have been affected by the recent challenge of covid-19 pandemic I wish to call on your attention as a matter pf urgency to crave your indulgence on the issue of expiration of rent as against the closure of schools in respect to the world pandemic challenge and its reads as follows:

DEAR SIR

NOTICE OF URGENCY.

On behalf of Nigerian students on the Plateau who have been affected by the recent challenge of covid-19 pandemic I wish to call on your attention as a matter pf urgency to crave your indulgence on the issue of expiration of rent as against the closure of schools in respect to the world pandemic challenge.

You are aware that students whose parents are also landlords are affected as well the entire system affected. I also wish to bring to your notice that the should be fairness to this students so long no one is asking the students to pay a new school fees including your children i advice tgat the same measures be consider for the students who are your tenants.

I wish to request that you summons all your executives and address tge issue as soon as possible. Because new payment of rents will be vahemly rejected my students accross all tatiary institutions.

I also wish to draw your attention on students rooms tgat qare buggled during the period of the covid-19 pandemic will be solely the responsibility of the landlords to pay them damages. As a efforts are on top gear to summons a lanlords who refuse to comply.
