2. Endorsement of the Renewed Hope Agenda
We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's Renewed Hope Agenda, which has been pivotal in repositioning Nigeria to be a prime global investment destination. The administration’s emphasis on democracy, development, demographics, and diaspora engagement has brought tangible economic and diplomatic gains that are fostering national growth, stability, and inclusion.

3. Support for Tax Reform Bills
We applaud the administration’s proposed tax reforms aimed at streamlining tax processes, closing revenue gaps, and fostering a business-friendly environment. These bills, currently before the National Assembly, represent a cornerstone of Nigeria's economic recovery efforts. We urge the legislature to expedite their passage to strengthen fiscal stability and economic revitalization.
4. Recognition of Inclusiveness and Balanced Leadership
President Tinubu’s administration has demonstrated an unprecedented commitment to inclusive governance, particularly by giving Northern minorities a seat at the table of policymaking. We are deeply grateful for the appointments of qualified and credible individuals from our communities, including:
• His Excellency Sen. George Akume as Secretary to the Government of the Federation,
• Prof. Yilwatda Nentawe as Minister of Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction,
• General Christopher Musa as Chief of Defence Staff; and
• Recent appointment of Federal Permanent Secretaries.
These appointments mark a significant shift from the historical marginalization we experienced under previous administrations. They symbolize a leadership that prioritizes equity and fairness in a multi-ethnic and multi-religious nation.
We appeal to His Excellency to continue expanding opportunities for Northern minorities in federal appointments, ensuring balanced representation across the 19 Northern states, many of which remain underrepresented.
5. Federal Capital Territory Minister’s Appointment
We commend Mr. President for appointing His Excellency Barr. Nyesom Wike’s as the FCT Minister based on capacity rather than ethnic or religious affiliation.

6. Impact of Policies on Northern Minorities
We recognize and celebrate the positive impacts of Mr. President’s policies in Northern Nigeria, particularly:
Infrastructure Development: The Federal Government’s approval of $1.1 billion to dualize the Akwanga-Jos-Bauchi-Gombe road, a critical economic artery that had been neglected for decades.
Education: The establishment of the Federal University of Applied Sciences in Southern Kaduna, which will transform the socio-economic and educational landscape of the region.
Healthcare: The creation of a Federal Medical Centre in Kafanchan, Kaduna State, to enhance access to quality medical services in underserved areas.
Security: The establishment of the Federal Ministry of Livestock to address farmer-herder clashes and boost the livestock and dairy industries.
These initiatives are directly addressing long-standing developmental and security challenges faced by our communities.

7. Commitment to National Unity
President Tinubu’s leadership has been exemplary in promoting unity and bridging ethnic and regional divides. His administration reflects a genuine commitment to fostering a united Nigeria, where every citizen feels seen, heard, and represented. This approach is critical to maintaining peace and stability in our diverse nation.

8. Advocacy for Local Government Autonomy
We support the administration’s push for granting financial and administrative autonomy to Nigeria’s 774 local governments. This reform will empower grassroots governance, ensuring that dividends of democracy reach every Nigerian. We urge the swift implementation of this agenda to enhance local development and accountability.

9. Establishment the North Central Development Commission (NCDC)
We appeal to President Tinubu to assent to the North Central Development Commission (NCDC) bill to address the unique developmental challenges facing the region, which includes Benue, Kogi, Kwara, Nasarawa, Niger, Plateau, and the Federal Capital Territory. The creation of the NCDC will ensure equitable development and reflect the administration's commitment to balanced governance.
10. Commendation for Governors
We specifically wish to commend the following State Governor for inclusive governance in their respective states:
Gov. Uba Sani of Kaduna State – for Inclusiveness and balanced leadership in Kaduna State which is a complete departure from the recent past.
Gov Ahmadu Fintiri of Adamawa State – for the restoration and upgrading of various northern minority ethnic groups chiefdoms in the state.
Gov. Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State – for creating a chiefdom for the Sayawa people and situating the headquarters in Tafawa Balewa Town.
11. Our Stand
After reviewing President Tinubu’s achievements under the Renewed Hope Agenda, we, as patriotic stakeholders, unequivocally affirm our unwavering support for his administration’s vision and programs.
We also pledge our backing for his re-election in 2027, should he decide to contest. His leadership represents a departure from the politics of exclusion and entitlement that have stifled Northern minorities for decades.
While some individuals and groups from Northern Nigeria have made inflammatory comments against the President’s appointments, we categorically dissociate ourselves from such divisive rhetoric. The so-called “Northern Agenda” does not represent us. We are not part of any scheming to undermine Mr. President or to return to the divisive politics of the past.
Instead, we stand firmly with a leader who has demonstrated a commitment to balanced governance, national unity, and inclusivity.

12. Call to Action for Northern Minorities
We call on all our leaders: traditional, spiritual, other critical stakeholders, as well as citizens to rise above parochial interests and sentiments, join us in supporting the Tinubu/Shettima administration. Let us unite to build a stronger Northern Nigeria that contributes meaningfully to national development.

13. Message of Hope
This communiqué reflects our collective optimism for Nigeria’s future under the Tinubu/Shettima administration. We are confident that continued collaboration between the government and Northern minorities will create a more equitable, prosperous, and united Nigeria.
