SENATOR LALONG LEADS PLATEAU NATIONAL ASSEMBLY MEMBERS TO MEET GOVERNOR MUTFWANG

Senator representing Plateau South Senatorial District Simon Bako Lalong has led members of the National Assembly from Plateau State to a meeting with Governor Caleb Mutfwang at the Government House Jos.

Dr. Makut Simon Macham Special Adviser (Media) to Senator Simon Bako Lalong, Plateau South Senatorial District in a statement made available to newsmen stated that
Lalong said the meeting was at the instance of the Governor who sought for greater collaboration and synergy between the State government and members of the national assembly for achieving development and progress of Plateau State.

The former Governor said the meeting provided and opportunity for honest discussions on the challenges of the State and the role that both parties need to play in moving Plateau State forward irrespective of party differences.

As the APC leader in Plateau State, Lalong assured Governor Mutfwang that the National Assembly members will always put aside party considerations when the interest of the people of Plateau is at stake in order to bring Federal presence to the State.

He therefore congratulated the Governor for convening the meeting saying that they will always pursue the issues of the State at the Red and green Chambers as well as draw the attention of the Governor towards issues that need his intervention.

Earlier, Governor Mutfwang said the meeting was convened having come to the realisation that without working together, development of the State will be impeded.

He thanked the national assembly members for their attendance and assurances that they will join hands with his administration to move Plateau State forward.

The Governor described the meeting as the day of new beginning where elected representatives of the people across party lines have come together to create synergy for achieving the Plateau project through unity and cohesion.
