GOVERNOR LALONG PRESENTS A BUS TO OUR LADY OF FATIMA SISTERS GENERATE JOS 


The Executive Governor of Plateau State Rt Hon (Dr) Simon Bako Lalong KSGG has fulfilled the pledge made to Our lady of Fatima Sisters Generate Jos, by presenting to them an 18-seater Toyota Hiace Bus to ease the challenges faced by the organisation in terms of transportation and logistics.


Presenting the bus to the group on behalf of His Excellency at the Old Government House Rayfield, the Honourable Commissioner of Lands Survey and Town Planning Hon Yakubu Dati alongside the Commissioner for Secondary Education Mrs Elizabeth Wapmuk and the Permanent Secretary (Policy and General Services) Mr Richard Tokma reiterated Governor Lalong's commitment to supporting Religious Organisations, Civil Society Groups and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs).


Speaking on behalf of the Governor, Hon Yakubu Dati welcomed the organisation to the Plateau State Government House, he assured them that the Governor was aware of their coming and had wished to receive them himself but was unavoidably absent due to other State engagements but directed they receive them and extend his warm regards. 


Hon Dati thanked the Sisters for their continued prayer for the State and Nigeria at large and charge them not to relent in their prayers and selfless services to Humanity, the Commissioner said it is imperative for the Governor to assist Our Lady of Fatima Sisters Generate Jos to enable them to move from one place to another in carrying out their calling of being trained as Reverend Sisters of the Catholic Church, he then charged them to put the kind gesture of the Governor into good use for the service of God and Humanity.


Dati then assured other organisations of the Governors support as he said more groups would be supported by the Government for the betterment of Humanity. 


Speaking earlier the Superior General, Our Lady of Fatima Sisters Generate Jos Rev. Sister Theresa Dung who could not hide her joy said they are delighted by the kind gesture of His Excellency to them by providing them with a Bus to ease with the movement of those in their Formation Houses (under training to become Reverend Sisters) who are the main beneficiaries of the Governors kind gesture, she said they are grateful to his excellency for hearing their cry as they asked and as a listening father, he listened and provided their need. She prayed that God bless the Governor, his cabinet and the good people of Plateau State.
