APC would not be distracted by machinations of some religious bigots- Hon Bature.

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress in Plateau State,  Hon. Rufus Bature has assured all party members and supporters that the party would not be distracted by the machinations of some religious bigots  who do not wish  it well.

A statement made available to News Parrot Online and signed by Signed: Hon. Sylvanus Namang,

 APC State Publicity Secretary stated that Hon. Bature gave the assurance yesterday at the Kalwa House party secretariat when the executive committee of Nigeria for BAT (Bola Ahmed Tinubu) paid him a courtesy call.

 Hon. Rufus Bature warned trouble makers who want to use religion to deceive people to steer clear of the party's internal affairs. 

 He observed that these detractors only use religion as a cheap tool and for convenience while they don't put what they preach  into practice. 

 He said the same faith ticket by the APC should not dampen our spirit and enjoins party supporters to be emboldened. 

 He further advised supporters not to be swayed by the sentiments being peddled around but to engage on issue based campaigns. 

  He said religion is a personal issue between a person and God and hunger does not know religion. 

 We said Plateau state cannot because of sentiments allow itself to be left behind in the commity if states in the contest for relevance and recognition at the national level. 

 He said while Plateau State vote is important, it cannot change the overall result at the national level and advised that we should come out of the cocoon of religious antics. 

He applauded the choice of the Governor of Plateau State, Rt. Honourable Simon Bako Lalong as the Director General of the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Campaign Council which he said  will add value to the APC in the state. 

 He admonished party members to leverage on this key appointment to disappoint doubting Thomases in our midst by delivering itd candidates.

He commended the APC Presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing  Governor Simon Bako Lalong as the Director General of his campaign.

 He said with this development, the party has the capacity to deliver at all levels during the 2023 general elections. 

 He advised APC supporters to brace up for the challenges ahead by adjusting their shock absorbers. 

 He said we should not be deterred by name callings by the naysayers as we shall emerge victorious to their disappointment. 

 Hon. Rufus Bature assured members of Nigeria for BAT, Plateau State Chapter of the party's support and cooperation to ensure victory in all positions in next year's general elections. 

Earlier in his address,  the Plateau State Chairman of Nigeria for BAT,  Mr Shadrach Golen commended the APC Chairman over the giant strides he has taken in repositioning the party.  

 He said the group had come to seek for ways of collaborating with the state exco of the party  in order to ensure victory for Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu and other candidates at all levels. 

 He said  Nigeria for BAT is one out of the four Tinubu Support groups which has been recognised by the presidential candidate and its members are very disciplined and self sponsored and card carrying members of the APC with a spread cutting across the 17 local goverments of the state.

 He said they cannot work in isolation with the party at the state level,  hence the visit which will create for synergy and cooperation. 

 Mr Golen advised the party on the need to close ranks and to reconcile with all aggrieved members to ensure total victory at the forthcoming general elections.
