Breaking: Hon. Diket Plang six others suspended from APC

The leadership of All progressive Congress APC in Fier ward of Pankshin Local Government Area of Plateau State, has suspended a frontline Senatorial aspirant in the forthcoming 2023 Plateau Central Senatorial Zone. 

A letter of suspension made available to this medium signed by the officials of the ward stated as follows: 

The All Progressives Congress APC Fier ward of Pankshin Local Government Area has suspended seven of its members from  the party 

Rising from an emergency Ward executive Committee meeting of the party on the 27th of June, 2021 at the party office in Fier, the Exco in  its resolution said the decision to suspend the seven members followed established cases of misconduct and anti party activities leveled against them which infringes on the APC constitution.

The letter of suspension signed by the ward chairman, Mal Dawal, the ward secretary Dankat Gofur and twelve other executives said " As provided by article 1 of the party constitution the power of the party to discipline its members, which shall be exercised on behalf of the party by the chairman of the party at all levels" stressed that 

1. Disobedience to the party constituted authority at the ward

 

2.  Hijacking the function of the party at the ward level 

3. Fictionalizing of the party at the ward level

Other penalties include impersonation of the ward executives during the recent local government primary election and

5. Falsification of the elector result sheets and tempering with the process of internal democracy at that ward level.

The suspension letter adds that the decision to suspend the members fall "under section A:  (offence against the party ) of the same article 21 ( i) (ii) (iii) (iv) (v)

The letter stressed that Base on the above mentioned offences the following member are therefore suspended indefinitely they are

1. Hon. Dikat Plang

2. Hon. Edward Sunkur

3. Hon. Simon Tokit

4. Hon. Simon Yokpe

5 Mr. Sabastine John

6. Mr. Tokat Panmun

7. Hosea Garba. 

Reacting on the acknowledged of the received of the suspension letter, Caretaker chairman of the APC in Pankshin Local Government Are , Timothy Yilmukuah said as a responsible party, a disciplinary committee will be put in place to verify the suspension and urged all party faithful to remain calm.
