Coalition of youth associations under the auspices of  Langtang South  Youths Political Vanguard (LSYPV) on Sunday  drummed support for the Chairmanship  ambition of the current council  boss of Langtang South local government of Plateau state Hon Rims Nimchak .

Speaking on behalf of the group Hon  Nanzing   Bulus Tem said  that the group unanimously agreed to endorse Hon Rims  as a result of his developmental strides in his first term .

"Hon Rims Nimchak is a loyal All Progressive Congress APC member who is determined to better the lives of citizens of the Langtang south as well ".

 He said Hon Rims deserves a second term for transforming the health , education  , social welfare of Langtang south as well as restoring lasting peace to the council .

He said that in  the areas of infrastructure and works, the Rims led adminstration in Langtang south has done well in Construction  of Sabongida- Turaki road, Completion of four cells box culvert at Turaki a well as  Construction of the 38km Gamakai- Ndingshan Timman road with spur to Takalafiya with about 17 box culverts.

The  group further added  that Rims has done well in the Completion and renovation of staff quarters, Construction of four cell box culvert at Walnim- , the  Construction of two cell box culvert at Nasarawa ward- ongoing

g. Procurement of five utility vehicles for official use

The group also  added that Rims also Procured   a Highlander SUV Jeep for Acting- District head of Langtang South, was well as the Procurement of three motorcycles for three traditional rulers

"He also Procured  three motorcycles for works and personnel departments for project monitoring and revenue generation as well as refurblishing of the broken down council's ambulance and legislative bus"

Nanzing further said in Agriculture  ,Rims has always procured fertilizer for farmers and sold at subsidize rates

, he always distributes  free herbicides to farmers during the farming season .

In his  words "Rims has done well in the heath sector  by Construction of PHC Faya, the establishment of PHC Jigawa in Timbol ward as well as regularly sponsorship of a comprehensive free medical outreach to the people of Langtang South and environs for so many years .

"In Education and social welfare  Hon Rims has Sponsored over 150 candidates of Langtang South origin(10 people per ward) to write the 2019 JAMB examination which many of them are already studying in various higher institutions.

He recently sponsored over  300 candidates to write the 2020 UTME examination with CBT training for the students to acquaint themselves with basic computer skills .

The spokesman of  the group said Rims also Procured and distributed   one trailer load of rice as palliative to cushion the effect of COVID-19 pandemic as well as distribution of 5,000 face mask and hand sanitizers to the people of Langtang South during the COVID pandemic as well as  resuscitation of the Chairman's cup .

The groups further said Rims has done well in promoting peace and security in Langtang south as well as Settlement of community disputes at several villages in the community 

He  further said Rims has done well in constructing of  four earth dams at Kamkun, Dorowa,Kayarda,Jemkur,,Ndingshan

as well as drilling of two boreholes at Ndingshan and  one borehole at Timman

We commend the council  boss for sponsorship of Langtang south  sons and daughters for various Skill acquisition programmes .

The group’s  spokesman further described Hon Rims as a noble man who has empowered youths in Langtang south .

He  noted that, their support for Rims  is as a result of his contribution toward the development of youths in the council .

“We have analyzed Aspirants contesting for the Chairmanship position in Langtang south  and we have decided to support Hon. Rims because he has been trusted and tested .

He needs to go back and continue the good works he is doing in Lantang south .

Our support for Rims  is for the interest of everyone living in Langtang south  

Over the years Rims  has differentiated himself from others by empowering the youths

He has supported our women in the agricultural sector and have sponsored a lots of our youths through Education. “

The group  also described Hon Rims  as a youth friendly man  noting that the group will not turn their back on him.

They call on the people of Langtang south and the All Progressive Congress APC  to support him at all times
